Privacy Policy
MidMando is built to be private by default — your learning stays on your device and stays yours.
What is stored on your device
Your learning progress, streaks, review history, saved words and settings are stored locally on your device.
iCloud sync
If you are signed in to iCloud, your progress and settings sync across your devices through Apple's iCloud (CloudKit). This data lives in your personal iCloud account under Apple's privacy protections — the developer cannot see or access it.
AI and translation features
Some features work by sending text to third-party services to generate a response:
- When you chat with Blob, translate a sentence, or look up a word's meaning, the relevant text is sent to my AI provider (DeepSeek) to produce a reply.
- The Reader's sentence translation may send text to Baidu Translate and/or Apple's on-device Translation.
This text is sent only to provide the feature you requested. It is not linked to your identity, and MidMando does not store your typed sentences on its own servers.
Music search
In Music mode, when you search for a song, your search terms are sent to music services (such as Apple Music) to find and link the track. MidMando does not display or store copyrighted lyrics.
What I do not do
- No account or sign-up required
- No advertising and no ad networks
- No third-party analytics or tracking
- No sale or sharing of personal data for marketing
Children
MidMando is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
