Why I wanted it

Honestly, this was a recent-ish addition. It was only after I came to China that I truly learnt the significance and the history behind these warriors — but I couldn't imagine rewriting the list and not having the Terracotta Army on it.

My home in Zhengzhou was only about 1–2 hours on high-speed rail from Xi'an, and I managed to time the trip with my friend Ben, who had come over from England to visit me. Being so close made it a weekend away for me, instead of the trip around the world it is for so many tourists.
